We are pleased to present an exhibition of Takashi Tomii, who produces wooden ware in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. Tomii’s works, which he consistently produces from a user-friendly point of view, have a approachable warmth of wood and a somewhat modest appearance. The finely detailed patterns carved on the works that he has been working on in recent years are impressive, and his delicate handiwork gives them an elegance with gentle and neat.
